Difficult (but true) situation

Saludos!

Taluego!

----------------------------

This story happened to me during the Vietnam War. I was fighting for my beloved country, the United States, against the evil communists. But the time went by and my comrades and I finally got exhausted with all the horror we saw.

All my brothers in arms were sleeping when this happened. I was on my own, looking everywhere, expecting enemies behind every single shadow. I could smell the death from my trench, the fresh bodies, the fear of the living ones... And suddenly, the Vietcong unelashed hell!!

I don't remember too much from that night. Just violent and messy flashes of death, pain and sorrow... I think my mind is nowadays protecting myself from the brutal visiones of that killing spree...

Nevertheless, I can't forget one thing... The battle continued all night long and by dawn there's only corpses left on the battlefield. The sun was raising ans then, I heard a noise at my back. I turned back shooting my gun furiously.

The noise was a lighter from Billy, my best friend ever. He was lighting a candle in a piece of cake... He remembered that was my birthday...

And I killed him because of that...

Damn me...
